LucyEntries for September have now closed. We can’t wait to laugh ourselves silly at your comedy loglines. Stay tuned for our winners announcement in the coming weeks.

As sad as it is that Comedy September is over, we can all be happy that the October contest has begun, and, oh boy, do we have something special in store for you.

CATEGORY: HORROR. In honor of Halloween, of course, we want your best horror loglines.

PRIZE: Our usual raft of goodies and giveaways like Great American PitchFest travel mugs, screenwriting books, screenwriting software, Below Zero DVDs and t-shirts. Plus, the ultimate prize for this month… an In Depth Script Analysis from our friends at ScriptQuack, an amazing prize worth $229. Your analyst will provide 6-8 pages of notes covering every key area in your screenplay, including: Concept, Style, Theme, Characters, Tone, Act I, Act II and Act III. This includes the ScriptQuack one-of-a-kind “Rewrite Action Plan,” a step by step guide detailing how you can best implement our notes in your rewrite. That’s a seriously ultimate prize.

JUDGES: We’re thrilled to announce our guest judge for this month, co-founder of ScriptQuack Craig Sabin. His most recent feature, “Overkill,” is under option with Destiny Pictures. More on Craig in his bio.

CONTEST TIPS: Check ’em out here.

Note: If you’re crowned our ultimate winner this month, the In Depth Analysis can be used on any script you want. This can be a completely different script from the logline that you enter. So, as always, we encourage you to submit loglines that have not yet been crafted into finished scripts, as well as loglines for your completed scripts!

And if you sign up for our newsletter, you’ll be rewarded with not only the latest updates from the contest, but a free download of Pilar Alessandra’s Find Your Logline Template.
